Rick Gornall, the owner and President of Gornall Construction, Inc. is originally from Cumberland. Began his career in 1974, working under a custom builder at various locations throughout Allegany, Garrett and Mineral counties building new custom homes, starting with vacant lots and developing them into dream homes of more than 15 families.

His next experience took place in Washington, D.C. where he worked for a commercial contractor as a superintendents building new stores in malls such as Kay’s Jewelry, GNC, Marshall’s, Roy Rogers, and Arby’s restaurants.

From there he began his own career in construction by remodeling a hair salon in Georgetown, two restaurants, an attorney’s office building on Capitol Hill and various additions, restorations and repairs in homes, embassies and businesses in the area.

After 10 years in the Washington, D.C. area, he decided to move back home to the Cumberland area to raise a family.

Gornall Construction, Inc. was located here in 1995 and has offered full services ever since.
